Tenzing Norgay Trainor is an American actor of mixed ethnicity. His father, Tenzing Norgay, was a Nepalese Sherpa mountaineer who famously accompanied Sir Edmund Hillary on the first successful summit of Mount Everest in 1953. His mother, Debbie Norgay, is of European and Native American descent.
Trainor was born on September 4, 2001, in Plantation, Florida, and grew up in Los Angeles. He began acting at the age of 11 and landed his first major role in the Disney Channel series "Liv and Maddie" in 2013.
Trainor has spoken openly about his mixed heritage and his pride in his Sherpa roots. He has worked to raise awareness about the role of Sherpas in mountaineering and has participated in several charity events to benefit Sherpa communities in Nepal.
In addition to his acting career, Trainor is also an avid athlete and has competed in various martial arts competitions. He is fluent in English and Spanish, as well as some Nepali and Tibetan.
